By user request, we’ve added the ability to specify the dates for testimonials and references. For testimonials, you can now specify the date on which the testimonial was given. This gives your potential customers, partners and employers a way to check which testimonials are recent and relevant. For references, you can now specify the years during which you worked with them. This simplifies references checks by allowing employers to only contact recent references.

Just implemented a new feature: the ability to send MentionIn users messages through their MentionIn profiles.  If a visitor to your MentionIn profile wants to get in touch with you, they can now send you a message through the MentionIn messaging system. Once a message had been sent to you, you will receive an email alert about it, and it will be waiting in your MentionIn.com messaging inbox.

We’ve just released the new version of MentionIn, and we’re very excited about it. The new MentionIn.com has a brand new professional look, and spades of new functionality:

• Protected public URLs for your reference list that you can share with potential employers
• Contact form for potential employers to request your reference list
• More ways to customize your MentionIn profile
• “Pro” account features - more storage!

And, until further notice, all new users will be automatically upgraded to a “Pro” account for FREE!

Just implemented a mechanism to reset your password in case you forgot it. Just go to the Password Recovery page, enter the email address you use for your MentionIn.com account, and we’ll send you a link to reset your password.

Just finished implementing a way to customize the appearance of MentionIn.com. Through the Account Settings section you can select the desired theme for your MentionIn.com account from a dropdown. This theme will affect your MentionIn.com experience, as well as the public profile you have available online.

We’ve made a lot of interface improvements today, to make the UI experience a lot of familiar and smooth. We hope you like it!

We’ve set up an account at IdeaScale.com, a site that allows users of websites to chime in with ideas for sites and products. By going to mentionin.ideascale.com, you can suggest new features and changes to MentionIn.com, and vote on ideas that were already entered into the system. Your input is very valuable - please go and vote for what you’d like to see happen at MentionIn.com.

Just implemented a new feature: the “references” tab allows you to record the details of people who are willing to be your references.  Using this functionality, you can keep track of who is willing to act as your references and their contact details, and provide these details upon request.

Just implemented a new feature: you can now send people to specific positions of testimonies in your public profile by right-clicking on the big quotes image next to the testimony, copying the link and sending it to them.

Just implemented a new feature: when you wish to highlight certain text sections in a typed testimonial, you no longer have to use “[b]” and “[/b]” to signify the beginning and end of the text that will be marked in bold. From now on, simply mark the area you wish to show in bold and click on the “B” button at the top of the text editing box. You will immediately see the formatted text as it will be shown once the testimony is submitted.
