FAQ.
Once entered, you may not edit a testimonial since testimonials might be verified by the person who is listed as the source, and once verified we do not allow any modifications to the testimonial.
If you would like to change the content of a testimonial, simply remove the old one (if it was already verified, you will lost the verification) and re-enter it.

FAQ.
LinkedIn.com is a social network that is meant to bring professionals together and manage their network of acquintances. It allows you to list your employment history and various affiliations, to connect with other members of LinkedIn.com, and to utilize that network for employment, recruiting or assistance.
MentionIn.com is not a social network. MentionIn.com allows you to create an online profile and manage your online reputation. As the first stage towards achieving this goal, MentionIn.com implements a testimonial and recommendation management system that allows you to list what other people had been saying about you, and then present it in a professional and consistent manner to potential employers, customers and partners.
Because it does not require other people to be members of the site to view your profile, it is not limited by the network effect. Even if you were the only user of MentionIn.com, you would still get 100% of the benefits of the system.
LinkedIn.com does implement a rudimentary recommendation system, but it has several major drawbacks:
- Only LinkedIn.com members can write recommendations for you. You may ask members to write a recommendation for you, but if they are not an active participant they may never even see the request.
- Only LinkedIn.com members can view the recommendations on your profile because, although LinkedIn.com does offer a public profile URL, the recommendations are not exposed as part of it.
Besides that, MentionIn.com offers the following benefits over LinkedIn.com’s recommendation system:
- MentionIn.com allows you to import testimonals from emails, documents and sites online.
- You don’t have to ask for a special recommendation specifically for this site, like you do with LinkedIn.com - simply import what people have already been saying about you.
- MentionIn.com allows you to ask the source of the testimonial to verify that the testimonial is correct, without needing to be a MentionIn.com member.
- MentionIn.com allows you to include evidence of the testimony, in the form of related links and related files (Word documents, PDFs, presentations, Outlook email files, etc.) to back-up the testimonial.
- MentionIn.com allows you to highlight the important parts of the testimonial.
